These paintings are mandala* like images that help people find their own inner center. Mandala paintings are used as a form of meditation, were one starts by focusing on the center. These paintings can be used for meditation or simply enjoyment of each flower’s beauty. These Fantasty Flower Mandala paintings are designed to be framed and displayed in homes, offices, school rooms, spas, yoga studios, massage rooms, hospitals and other places of healing and growth.

*Mandala means center, circle, container and essence in Sanskrit. They are circular sacred images used in many cultures and spiritual traditions to help the viewer experience the infinite. They bring beauty, healing, inspiration and peace to those who view them.

Linda explains the inspiration and process of creating these paintings, " Flowers are my passion and my life. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and have created art most of my life. Fifteen years ago I put down my paint brush to devote full time to designing gardens. Recently I could no longer live without creating art.   I wanted to create images that came from my imagination but were inspired by the amazing details and colors of flowers, my many years practicing meditation, and the joy and challenge of watercolor.  I spent months sketching and doodling and found that all my designs were fantasy flowers in the mandala* shape.  The pencil sketches called out for the spontaneity and the unknown interaction of flowing vivid watercolors.  

I begin each painting with a meditation that inspires a quick sketch of the shapes and forms.  I then transfer that sketch onto a large 300 lb. watercolor paper square.  I find the center point and draw the shapes free hand so they fit within the implied circular format.  I paint with the paper flat on the floor so large areas can be saturated with water and color.

GicléeThese limited edition images are available as signed and numbered fine art giclée prints. The image size is 20 x 20 inches. Each is printed on Sommerset 140 lb., 100 % cotton rag paper, with archival inks. Please contact Linda for pricing information. (Larger giclées can be created upon request.)

The images from Life’s Instructions, Centered on Flowers and Fantasy Flower Mandala Paintings are available as a prints. The prints show the detail of each flower or painting and the crispness of the type. Each signed print ranges from 11 x 11 inches with an 8x8 image surrounded by white border to a 38 x 38 inches with a 28x28 inch image. (Some photos can not be printed in the largest sizes).
Each print is signed by the artist.
Cost of Prints - $45 each for 11x11 with 8x8 image, please contact Linda for pricing on larger sizes.

Greeting Cards - Cards are sold in packages of 3, with 3 of the same image in a package for $9 ($3 per card) The cards are 5 x 5 inches with a 3 5/8th x 3 5/8th image inside the white border. Inside of card is blank. Envelopes are 5.5X5.5 inches. Extra postage is required in US for square envelopes.
